Agnieszka

Agnieszka Filipkowska is a councillor on the Gliwice City Council, an academic lecturer and an expert in the project to adapt the Silesian University of Technology for people with disabilities. Although she has suffered from spinal muscular atrophy since birth, she has always been socially committed and helped other people. She dreams of changing the Polish system of care for people with disabilities similar to what is in the Scandinavian countries. Her systematic intensive rehabilitation and the SMA drug treatment she has been receiving for the past 3 years help her realise her plans and passions.
